The Challenge for Backup Salesforce Data:
For all its advantages, Salesforce does not provide a standard backup-and-restore function. The Peeklogic Team noted this gap and decided to fill it via our custom backup-and-restore build. In an age where cybersecurity is more important than ever, our client turned to our tool—ideally suited for small and medium business—to cover their data security needs. Forceoft had a single goal in mind: to create and launch a solution that’s flexible in configuration and effortless to use, without complicated manuals or tutorials.

The BRM gets to work: What happens when there is an unexpected data fault? In this case, the CRM Admin needed to see backed-up data—and easily restore it without wasting time. Restoring functionality also needed to address standard and custom fields and objects. Our elegant interface boast power under the hood.
The app also needs to restore relationships properly—including circular relationships between objects.
Thinking outside the box, inside the Dropbox: Forceoft’s team implemented a data storage solution checked and verified by time in Dropbox. It can also communicate with Dropbox via our own APIs.

…so simple to use
The CRM Admin starts the process by using the “Configure” tab and authorizing the Dropbox account:
Once objects are selected, simply choose which fields to be back up.
What’s more, the Admin can configure filtering conditions (when only limited accounts need backup). These can be grouped by specific record type, for example.
Next, save the configuration. Back it up now, or schedule backups in regular intervals:

After clicking “Backup Now,” just switch to “Status” tab to see how your backup is doing.
Once that’s in process, our app creates a folder in your Dropbox account that contains all your backed-up records. That’s right: We help do the organizing for you, without making you wrestle with complicated instructions.
The “Restore” tab lets you see list of backups available to be restored.
With a point and a click, the Salesforce Admin can select which objects to restore from the backup, or restore the all at once.
Remember: Our app will save all your relationships—even if you have circular relationships in your data model. Working from the Restore tab, the Admin can “Insert,” “Update” or “Delete” your valuable Salesforce records.
