Challenge
The Client requested that Peeklogic build an app on the Force platform and integrate it tightly with Google. First, they needed their users to be able to drag and drop files from Lead, Account, Opportunity or any other Salesforce object. The file then had to appear in the related Google folder. To do this, our team knew they had to develop a configuration page. This was so a user could set up objects for which they planned to use drag and drop to Google Drive.
Our Peeklogic Salesforce team would also have to develop Visualforce and Lightning components. These are for placement on any Standard or Custom Salesforce object. These custom components are for displaying the list of files related to a specific record. Additionally, the Client wanted their users to be able to open a file in a separate tab, download a file or remove a file from their record.
Plus, when going to Google Drive, users needed to see a list of folders structured by Salesforce objects and related records. Thus, we needed to show the relationship between Salesforce objects in structured folders as well. Finally, the Salesforce Google Drive integration app needed to be developed in Lightning and Classic, pass Security review, and be published to appexchange.
