Peeklogic Jira Connector allows to Build Report on Jira Issues in Salesforce.

Reporting feature is pretty flexible in Peeklogic Jira Connector. And Here are few examples of reports Peeklogic Jira Connector allows you to build but it’s capabilities are not limited to them:

Report on Salesforce opportunities which have related not closed Jira issues to them
Report on all Jira issues created in Salesforce
Report on closed Jira Issues last month

etc

As far as reporting feature pulls data from jira to Peeklogic Custom Object – Peeklogic Jira Issue, in addition to reporting you could build automation which triggers events in salesforce after Jira issue is updated in Jira. Examples of few use cases below:

When Jira issue is completed, related Salesforce Case record will be closed (achievable with Salesforce Process Builder)
When comment is added to Jira Issue on Jira side, task will be created in Salesforce

Follow steps below to get familiar with reporting feature

Create Report on Jira Issues in Salesforce

It could be any report type, but the only prerequisite is – it should contain Peeklogic Jira Issue object in it. Click Save.

Deploy Fields Available for Peeklogic Jira Connector Reports

Click “Show Configurations” button
Click the button “Add Jira Field” – to Deploy field from Jira into Peeklogic Jira Issue object. Click “Deploy Field” button. This will create a corresponding field in Peeklogic Jira Issue object and this will allow you to report on it as well, as from now on it’ll be synced from Jira to Salesforce
Click “Add Jira Lookup” – to create a lookup relationship between Peeklogic Jira Issue object and other objects, for example Cases or Opportunities. This will allow you to report on various objects related to Peeklogic Jira Issue object. For example after this step you’d be able to report on Cases and their related Jira Issues, their statuses and other fields

Navigate to Peeklogic Jira Connector Setup Page and Click Report Tab and Than Click “Filter Only Jira Reports”

In around a minute or so – all reports containing Peeklogic Jira Issues object will appear in the list. An option to Run each report is available next to a report name. After you click Run Report – a apex job will start and pull data from Jira and save into Peeklogic Jira Issues object.

After that you could navigate to Salesforce you created initially, Run it – and you’ll see updated data
