Using Peeklogic Jira Connector on AppExchange together with Peeklogic Salesforce Connector from Atlassian market you would extend your Salesforce and Jira Integration. Such flows as “Automatically Create Salesforce Case, when Jira issue is created in Jira”, “Create Salesforce Opportunity Automatically when Jira issue status is Updated”, etc become possible.

To Achieve this,

  1. Install Peeklogic Jira Connector in your Salesforce from AppExchange
    Manual
  2. Install Peeklogic Salesforce Connector from Atlassian Marketplace on your Jira Instance
    use those helpful manuals for installation:

  3. Now, when Jira issue is create or updated in Jira – a record in Salesforce will be created/updated as well within Peeklogic Jira Issues object

As far as “Jira Issues” Salesforce Object’s record will be created/Updated every time, corresponding Jira issue is created/updated on Jira side, you can create process builder or Flow to perform automation for you. For Example you could create process builder which will create Salesforce Case every time Jira issue is created in Jira, which creates “Jira Issue” record in Salesforce the same time. Follow further steps:

Navigate to Setup / Process Builder / New

Select “Jira Issue” object and execute when record is created¬† – to track only creating of Jira Issues, or created or edited – to track creation and updates of Jira Issues

Configure condition, if depending on different Issue types, or other Jira Issues fields – different events should happen.

Select Create Record, Case for object, and map fields. Save and Activate Salesforce Process Builder. Now Case will Be created every time when Jira issue is created in Jira through object-mediator “Jira Issues” in Salesforce

To add more fields from Jira to Salesforce for fields mapping purposes, navigate to Peeklogic Jira Connector Setup / Click “Report” / Show Configuration

After you added needed fields, they will be automatically created on Salesforce “Jira Issues” object, and mapped with Jira Issues in Jira.
